A Starfield leaker has seemingly narrowed down the Starfield: Shattered Space release date window, and it’s reportedly quite soon.
Bethesda’s latest game, Starfield, hasn’t done as well as other titles from the company. Player counts are generally lower in single-player games, but that’s not a problem other Bethesda titles have. The Elder Scrolls 5: Skrim and Fallout 4 have significantly higher player counts these days than spacefaring in Starfield. That hasn’t stopped Bethesda from expanding the space RPG.
The game has seen quite a few patches, one of which also added the 60 FPS mode on the Xbox Series X console. While not perfect, it’s a step in the right direction for the game. With land vehicles also in the cards, it seems Bethesda will keep improving the title. The newest, paid Starfield Shattered Space expansion release date was already set in 2024; now, it’s narrowed to a month.
When is Starfield: Shattered Space coming out?
The Starfield: Shattered Space expansion will reportedly be released in September 2024.
The leaker, Odahfield, also stated that a trailer is expected to be released on August 20, 2024 during or around Gamescom Opening Night Live. Xbox has already confirmed its presence at the event, with plenty of first-party and third-party games to show. Shattered Space may be among the titles shown at the event.
Odahfield previously leaked the first screenshots of Starfield more than two years ago. Alongside the prediction on when Starfield: Shattered Space comes out, they also stated that the next paid expansion, Starborn, will be released sometime in 2025.
House Va’runn will be in Shattered Space
Starfield’s first paid DLC will feature House Va’runn. It’s not known how the story DLC will use the religious zealots who worship the Great Serpent.
The third-biggest faction in the galaxy, House Va’runn, has a presence on nearly every settled planet. The faction has gone to war against the non-believers in the past. The Collective and UC joined hands in stopping and outlawing the House.
Details on how big the DLC will be are scarce. Previous Bethesda DLC expansions range from huge to tiny. Shattered Space could be as big as Dawnguard or as small as Automatron. Fans won’t have to wait long, as Xbox might make an official reveal soon.
