T1 will be getting Worlds 2024 champion skins as part of their reward for winning the international tournament, and they already have ideas.
Since entering the international stage in 2012, T1 has been a team known for making records. The 2024 results at the League of Legends World Championship mark the team’s second back-to-back win and fifth overall win. Now, it’s time to reap the upcoming rewards.
As in previous years, the winners of Worlds 2024 will be getting a championship skin line. Here are every member of T1’s picks for their new skin.
T1 discusses new champions for their second Worlds skin collection
Each member of T1 has a certain champion or two in mind to get a special Worlds 2024 skin.
Traditionally, each member of the world championship-winning team is allowed to choose a champion they played in at least two games throughout the tournament. Additionally, if the champion already has a skin already, Riot may ask players to choose another. Currently, 48 out of the over 160 champions in League of Legends already have a Worlds skin. Here’s who each member of T1’s roster is feeling:
- Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok: Whichever champion makes fans happy
- Choi “Zeus” Woo-je: Camille, Gragas, or Ornn
- Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon: Vi or Xin Zhao
- Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong: Jhin or Varus
- Ryu “Keria” Min-seok: Renata or Pyke
This is T1’s second win in a row, taking home Worlds 2023 also. Because the roster hasn’t changed, this also marks the second official Worlds skin for most of the players. Zeus additionally received the Prestige skin for his top lane performance as Jayce.
Faker, however, has participated in all five of T1’s Worlds wins and will be getting an astounding sixth League of Legends skin. His response, that he would like his champion to be whichever fans would enjoy the most, remains the same from last year.
Faker’s current options based on his competition this year include Sylas, Ahri, Galio, Neeko, and Akali. The star player teased the idea of running an Ahri skin in 2024 after famously canceling the idea in 2023. That might be unlikely after the release of the $500 Ahri skin that celebrated his admission to LoL esports’ hall of fame.
Typically, the World Championship skins come out in the next calendar year. If this year’s release schedule was anything to go by, fans may be waiting until September 2025 to get to purchase the new skin set. Hopefully, Riot will reveal which champions T1 chose to get a Worlds 2024 skin.
