Popular vtuber Ironmouse has taken to social media to tease fans about an upcoming Fortnite collaboration and skin, and reports suggest she may actually be in line to get multiple skins alongside other cosmetics.

There is no doubt that Ironmouse is one of the most popular vtubers in the world, and she is also known in the mainstream livestreaming scene thanks to having previously dethroned Kai Ceant as Twitch’s number one most-subscribed streamer in 2024.

While Kai has reclaimed the top position with his Mafiathon streams, Ironmouse still made a mark for herself. The vtuber’s broad popularity can be gauged by the fact that Fortnite will apparently be releasing an upcoming Ironmouse cosmetic pack.

What we know about the new Ironmouse Fortnite skin

On September 13, Ironmouse made a social media post with a video that showed a glimpse of what appeared to be her new Fortnite skin. The post didn’t elaborate much on the details, but fans started speculating about what all cosmetics would be released.

Fortnite leakers then came forward and confirmed that Ironmouse is getting her own in-game cosmetic set. Leakers later reported that they had confirmation from Ironmouse’s manager and that she will apparently be getting two skins, emotes, a pickaxe, a guitar, and even more cosmetics.

Ironmouse then shared another teaser, this time an image that contained the silhouette of her upcoming Fortnite skin. Fans rushed to guess which Ironmouse model would be used for the skin, and the general consensus among many was that the Fortnite skin would be based on Ironmouse’s Season 4 design.

While the fine details are still awaiting final verification, fans will be able to confirm the validity of the leaks and claims on September 18 when Ironmouse’s Fortnite skin is set to officially go live.

Why is Ironmouse’s Fortnite skin a big deal for the vtuber?

Ironmouse already had a Fortnite Sprite, but that is different from a fully usable in-game skin. This makes the latest news a milestone for the vtuber, especially because Fortnite skins are rare for such streamers. The only other two vtubers with Fortnite skins are Kizuna AI and Hoshimachi Suisei, which makes Ironmouse just the third vtuber to get her own skin in Epic’s popular title.

Epic Games loves to collaborate with popular IP, and several mainstream streamers have their skins in the game. Vtubers are more niche compared to traditional livestreamers, making their inclusion that much more noteworthy when it does happen. Ironmouse’s case is particularly notable, as she progressed from Sprite to a full-blown cosmetic set. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the cosmetic bundle to be released so they can try the new items for themselves.

In the meantime, the vtuber’s followers have the mouseathon to look forward it, with all that it will entail.
