Zenless Zone Zero developer miHoYo has revealed another new character for the free-to-play action RPG: Burnice White.
Zenless Zone Zero is full of playable characters that can be unlocked through its gacha system. Yet players already have several more to look forward to in future updates. Last month, miHoYo announced no less than three new additions with Seth Lowell, Qingyi, and Jane Doe, who are set to arrive during the 1.1 update.
This hasn’t stopped miHoYo from announcing new characters teased future releases, such as Hoshimi Miyabi. The most recent is Burnice White, who is set to round up the Sons of Calydon faction.
Who is Burnice White in ZZZ?
Burnice White will be the third member of the Sons of Calydon faction in Zenless Zone Zero.
While no gameplay has been shared, miHoYo has done a reveal for the character. Unsurprisingly, she has a red and black biker-themed attire, which fits with the rest of the faction. However, she appears to have two gas tanks attached to her back and is wielding what look like a pair of flamethrowers.
This points to Burnice being another fire attribute agent. The portmanteau of “burn” and “ice” implies that she could have both fire and ice elemental damage potential. The accompanying quotes from other characters also suggest she’s a bartender, with one saying “Burnice’s drinks never disappoint.”
Very little is known about the Sons of Calydon beyond their biker aesthetic. Currently, it’s represented by A-rank agents Lucy and Piper, both of whom are available through the permanent banner. While this isn’t confirmed, it’s possible Burnice will be an S-Rank agent and thus only available during a limited-time banner.
When she’ll be added to the game is another question entirely, but don’t expect it to be soon. At the time of writing, the next batch of character additions for Zenless Zone Zero is Seth Lowell, Qingyi, and Jane Doe, who will arrive on August 14.
At the very least, Burnice’s eventual inclusion could herald new story content and details about the Sons of Calydon. That’s because she’s not the only recent character reveal.
What is Burnice’s release date in Zenless Zone Zero?
Burnice and Caesar King will likely arrive in ZZZ in September or October.
Considering Seth Lowell, Qingyi, and Jane Doe were unveiled roughly a month before their in-game arrival, it’s possible that both Burnice and Caesar will be added to Zenless Zone Zero in September. However, miHoYo hasn’t confirmed a timetable for the release of either character.
The day before Burnice was confirmed for the game, miHoYo also shared a first look at Caesar King, the leader of the Sons of Calydon. Details about her are equally slim, but accompanying character quotes describe her as “simple as a salad” and she appears to have some connection to Billy Kid of the Cunning Hares. As the leader of the group, Caesar will almost certainly be an S-rank agent.
