The new Extradimensional Crisis booster pack for Pokemon TCG Pocke is dropping some new out-of-this-world rare cards for players to pull, and we’ve collected some of the best to look out for.
With over 1,000 cards available in Pokemon TCG Pocket, developers are still eager to get out new Pokemon for players to collect and battle with. Extradimensional Crisis comes hot on the heels of Celestial Guardians, the Gen 7-themed pack featuring such highlight Pokemon as Lunala and Solgaleo, as well as starters and region-exclusive cards. But as the new booster makes clear, those aren’t nearly all of the Pokemon available from the Sun and Moon games.
With the arrival of Extradimensional Crisis, here is the rarest card players can aim to get their virtual hands on.
What is the rarest card in Extradimensional Crisis?
The gold crown Nihilego is the rarest card available in Extradimensional Crisis.
With only one gold crown to worry about, players have an 0.040% chance at any given time in pulling the rare Nihilego from the new booster. This puts its odds on par with other smaller sets like Mythical Island and Triumphant Light, and also means that players may be more likely to get it through sheer probabilities. After all, the set in total only has 103 cards compared to over double that in Celestial Guardians, so there are fewer cards to compete with the gold crown Nihilego in your pulls.
The next rarest set of cards in Extradimensional Crisis are the two-star full art cards, with an overall likelihood to pull of 0.500% and an individual chance of 0.041%. Given the first three cards in any normal pull are one-diamond, it takes luck to get a full-art. Players should look out for:
- Gladion
- Looker
- Lusamine
- Buzzwole ex
- Tapu Koko ex and rainbow border
- Lycanroc ex and rainbow border
- Guzzlord ex and rainbow border
- Alolan Dugtrio ex and rainbow border
Other Exradimensional Crisis standouts include one- and two-star shiny Pokemon and an immersive rare Buzzwole ex. Additionally, Pokemon TCG Pocket has introduced a new type of Pokemon to the mobile game.
Extradimensional Crisis features the arrival of Ultra Beasts
The new and distinguishing feature of Extradimensional Crisis is the new rare Ultra Beast card type, exclusive so far to this booster.
Though Ultra Beasts aren’t Pokemon in the technical sense, that hasn’t stopped them from joining the Extradimensional Crisis line-up. Ultra Beasts came to Alola and now arrive in Pokemon TCG Pocket, originating from outer space. They are known for their great strength and combat abilities.

Players now have the possibility to pull one of several Ultra Beasts from Sun/Ultra Sun and Moon/Ultra Moon with increasing levels of exclusivity. Because they’re exclusive so far to Extradimensional Crisis, this makes them rare in the overall Pokemon TCG Pocket meta. The new Ultra Beast cards consist of:
- Stakataka
- Xurkitree
- Blacephalon plus one-star full art
- Phermosa plus one-star full art
- Celesteela plus one-star full art
- Poipole
- Naganadel
- Nihilego plus gold crown
- Guzzlord ex plus two-star full art and rainbow border
- Buzzwole ex plus two-star full art and immersive rare
Unfortunately for die-hard collectors, the only guaranteed way to get the rare gold crown Nihilego card in Extradimensional Crisis is by saving up 2,500 Pack Points. This translates to opening 500 themed booster packs. Ultra beasts, meanwhile, only need between 150 and 500 Pack Points each.
Those who truly need that gorgeous Nihilego may want to consider signing up for a premium subscription to at least get an additional chance at pulling the rare card each day.
