Pokemon TCG Pocket is finally introducing a long-awaited region to the game, and with it come a new set of the best pull cards to find as Wisdom of Sea and Sky nears release.
With millions of players and many hundreds of cards, Pokemon TCG Pocket has taken the card gaming scene by storm. With three full-size boosters out, developers have added Kanto, Alola, and other regions with unique Pokemon to collect. The latest set, Wisdom of Sky and Sea, is bringing players to the highly-anticipated Johto region.
Wisdom of Sea and Sky will be available on July 30 with new best pull cards to chase down for Pokemon TCG Pocket players.
Best pull cards so far from Wisdom of Sea and Sky
Ho-Oh and Lugia work together to make the best pull cards so far from Wisdom of Sea and Sky.
Lugia and Ho-Oh are two of the most powerful Pokemon in Gold and Silver, and that may just hold true for Pokemon TCG Pocket as well. The two cards are designed to be played in a deck together. Ho-Oh, a fire Pokemon, deals 80 damage and grants a benched Pokemon three energy: one lightning, one fire, and one grass. The colorless Lugia card, meanwhile, needs those three same energy to attack for a whopping 180 damage before discarding that three energy.

As a pair, Lugia and Ho-Oh fit into a fire deck easily but can also be a part of a different sort of deck due to Ho-Oh only needing colorless energy. One of the new item cards, Elemental Switch, also aids in this endeavor by allowing the player to move a lightning and fire energy from the bench to the active Pokemon.
The two other ex cards featured in the trailer are Umbreon ex and Espeon ex, first introduced to the meta in Eevee Grove. Each can do 20 damage and have their own special abilities. Umbreon’s ability forces the opponent to switch in a damaged Pokemon. Espeon, meanwhile, can heal 20 damage to one Pokemon once per turn.
Additional Pokemon cards known so far include the three Johto starters, baby Pokemon Pichu and Cleffa, and shiny Pokemon like the bright red Gyrarados. Wisdom of Sky and Sea also introduces new trainers Lyra and Silver, the latter of whom’s move confirms that special energy will be coming to the game, and the rescue scarf.

How to pull the best cards in Wisdom of Sea and Sky
The only guaranteed way to pull one of the best cards in Wisdom of Sea and Sky is to rack up as many hourglasses as possible and open as many digital card packs as you can.
Fortunately, there are a number of ways to get more hourglasses in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Players can get four each day for simply playing the game, and more from completing the newly-added solo battles that will accompany this latest Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion. They can also spend Shop Tickets for the monthly refresh of hourglasses.
Even if the desired card isn’t pulled, players can still earn Pack Points to save up and spend on specific cards they need to add to their collections. Otherwise, for even more chances, they can consider investing in a premium account that provides an additional pack opening each day.
When the next set comes out, players will also be able to trade the best cards from Wisdom of Sea and Sky. Because boosters come out roughly once per month, any interested parties will likely have to wait until the end of August or early September to trade for that missing Lugia ex or Ho-Oh ex.
