Quidditch Champions’ tutorial is a drag, is there any way to skip it?

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions has arrived, but players are going to have to really work to hit the pitch due to the game’s tutorial. Is there any way to skip it?

The enduring magical sport has returned to video game consoles, and both casual and competitive gamers are excited to dive into the world of competitive Quidditch. While fans may not be surprised that the game will have a basic tutorial of how to play, they may become frustrated over how long the tutorial can take.

Games that offer tutorials often allow skip options, but does Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions allow players to skip the basics? Unfortunately, gamers will need to spend more time practicing than Harry Potter himself did before his first game.

Can you skip Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions’ tutorial?

There is no way to skip through or past Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions’ tutorial.

After a lengthy playtest, Unbroken Studios has decided to disallow players from skipping tutorial sessions. During initial playtests, the only requirement was that players learn the tutorial for the Chaser role before they could dive into playing. Options in the tutorial menus allowed players to level up their skills by doing tutorials for all the roles. Doing so gave players experience points for the battle pass, which offers unlockable skins.

In the final playtest, players were surprised that they could no longer skip these tutorials and have fun with their friends. The tutorial not only walks players through the basic controls of the game, but has players learn the fundamentals of each role before putting them in a simulated match.

The burrow gives Quidditch Champions’ opening a story

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions’ tutorial can’t be skipped, but it has a story to keep it engaging. Or at least somewhat engaging.

The tutorial takes place at the Weasley’s home, The Burrow. Players will start as friends of the Weasley family with the clan’s youngest, and only, girl Ginny walking the players through how to play Quidditch and how each role works.

After learning the controls, players can put that knowledge to use in a simulated three-on-three match. The players will create clones of themselves to go up against Ginny and other NPCs. The final playtest had the score cap at 100 points for all of the roles. This made for a long, and sometimes boring, practice session. Unbroken Studios took player feedback into account in the final game and changed the score caps to 30 points for all roles except the Seeker. Once players unlock the Seeker, the fun begins with a full match with the 100-point cap.

As players unlock the next roles, more Harry Potter universe characters are added to teams, including Ron, Fred, George, and even the Weasley matriarch Molly. Hermione, who never played Quidditch in the books or movies, also gets in on the practice fun. And who can leave out Harry Potter himself?

The length of the tutorial games becomes longer as more roles and players are introduced to the matches. But once players finish learning all four of the roles, they will be on their way to the Hogwarts grounds to play in matches with their friends.

The Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions fandom is split regarding the tutorial. Some found it a fun way to introduce newcomers to the game and the Quidditch universe, while others found it boring and overly long. Regardless, there’s no sign that Quidditch Champions’ tutorial will get shorter or made skippable.

If Unbroken Studios takes the recent playtest feedback in mind with real-time player feedback, changes could be a possibility to allow for the same experience and allow players to jump into the game faster.
