Rarest cards to pull from Pokemon TCG Pocket: Fantastical Parade

Fantastical Parade brings new rarest pull cards to Pokemon TCG Pocket.

Pokemon TCG Pocket knows what players want, and they added exciting new rare cards to pull in Fantastical Parade.

Fantastical Parade brings Pokemon cards from across generations and regional forms to make up a top tier line up. These include Galarian and Alolan forms as well as new megas and exs. Some cards, though, get special treatment in receiving new art rares, immersives, or even gold crown cards.

Unlike most single pack sets, players have two particularly rare pull cards to look forward to from Fantastical Parade.

What are the rarest pull cards from Fantastical Parade?

Fantastical Parade has two especially rare gold crown cards for players to chase down and potentially pull: Meloetta and Protective Poncho.

To pull any gold crown card, players have to beat an 0.040% odds for the fourth card in a pack and an 0.160% for their fifth card. And because there are two, those chances are halved if one is looking for specifically Meloetta or the Protective Poncho.

The greatest chance of pulling a gold crown card is to get a rare pack, at which point the odds go up to a total of 3.921%.

Who or what is featured on gold crown cards tend to fall into a few categories. Sometimes, gold crown cards are the mascot Pokemon or end up being powerhouses, like with Celestial Guardian’s best cards. Other times, they feel like random pulls that highlight a random Pokemon or tool.

Meloetta and Protective Poncho may end up being a mix of the two. Meloetta will greatly benefit a Stage 2 deck by pulling a random psychic Pokemon into the player’s hand. Especially with Mega Gardevoir ex introduced in Fantastical Parade, this could be a game changer.

Protective Poncho, when sitting on benched Pokemon, may end up being a bandage against the current meta domination of Greninja ex.

Other rare cards in Fantastical Parade

With art rares and shiny cards galore, there are a few specific rare cards in Fantastical Parade that might be harder to pull than in other sets.

Fantastical Parade has 23 two star art rare cards and 28 shiny cards. When compared to the rare card count in Crimson Blaze or other one pack boosters, this is double the amount of rares usually included. While this does mean more total rare cards to pull, it does mean that individual cards will be much less common.

Art rares in Fantastical Parade

As per usual, players have an 0.500% chance of pulling a two star art rare as their fourth card, and a 2.000% of pulling it as their fifth. With 23 cards, though, this reduces the odds of individual cards to 0.021% and 0.086%, respectively.

Recent sets have had much higher odds since the switch of shiny cards to an extra in Mega Rising rather than included in the regular count.

Art rares from Fantastical Parade include:

  • Teal Mask Ogerpon ex and rainbow border
  • Blacephelon ex and rainbow border
  • Alolan Ninetales ex and rainbow border
  • Mega Swampert ex and rainbow border
  • Toxtricity ex and rainbow border

Shiny cards in Fantastical Parade

The number of cards in Fantastical Parade also reduces the chance of pulling a specific shiny card, though the total number is increased. Each two star shiny has a 31.820% of randomly appearing as a sixth card, with only a 3.997% of any given one.

One star shinies, meanwhile, are more common at 68.180% odds but only have a 3.409% of a desired card showing up.

Shiny cards from the set with two star cards indicated:

  • Tangela
  • Magby
  • Magmar
  • Horsea
  • Seadra
  • Kingdra ex (two star)
  • Mantyke
  • Omanyte

  • Espeon ex (two star)
  • Umbreon ex (two star)

Fortunately for rare card completionists, players can share cards up to two star or two star shiny from Fantastical Parade. Gold crowns, though, must be earned through either luck or over a long time saving up pack hourglasses to grind away at pulls.
