Galaxy weapons have been around since the start of Stardew Valley, but which one is the best after the 1.6 update?
When people think of Stardew Valley, the combat isn’t usually the first thing that comes to mind. Usually, that honor goes to scrambling through farming or raging over catching the Legend fish. Surprisingly, Stardew Valley has quite an expansive arsenal, which may seem amusing to those who expected a chill farming game. These weapons are used against mobs of enemies in Stardew Valley’s caves and dungeons, which can get threatening at times.
Due to the game’s simple combat mechanics, damage above all is the best way to progress through hordes of foes. One of the earliest powerhouse weapons players can craft is the Galaxy Weapons.
How to get Galaxy Weapons in Stardew Valley 1.6
Players can unlock Galaxy Weapons by standing in the middle of the Three Pillars in the Calico Desert while holding a Prismatic Shard.
To obtain a Prismatic Shard fast, players can find one at the top of the chest in the Volcano Dungeon on their first visit. Otherwise, it has a chance to spawn in the deepest levels of the Mines, Skull Cavern, and Quarry.
Once the Infinity Sword is obtained, the player can purchase the Galaxy Hammer and Galaxy Dagger from the Adventurer’s Guild for 75,000 gold each. While each weapon is powerful, the Galaxy Hammer does more raw damage than the Galaxy Sword, though it is slightly slower.
That said, Galaxy weapons are a stepping stone to the most powerful melee weapons in the entire game; the infinity weapons.
How to upgrade Galaxy Weapons into Infinity Weapons in Stardew Valley 1.6
Players need 3 Galaxy Souls and 60 Cinder Shards to upgrade a Galaxy Weapon at the Forge.
The most reliable way to get Galaxy Souls in Stardew Valley is by purchasing them for 40 Qi gems each. As for Cinder Shards, they are abundant in the Volcano Dungeon as nodes or treasure chest rewards.
The Stardew Valley 1.6 update presents the Infinity Sword as the most powerful weapon in the game, netting the player the “Infinite Power” achievement. With its speed and damage output, it certainly has a strong case. However, some other weapons have the potential for more raw damage, such as the Infinity Gavel or the Master Slingshot.
