Someone has finally surpassed Adin Ross to become the most-followed streamer on Kick and many are wondering who Luis Fernando “WestCol” Villa Alvarez is.
Popular Kick streamer Adin Ross is a huge brand himself. The streamer has been with Kick since 2023 and his indefinite Twitch ban made the platform his primary streaming spot. He was the first and only Kick content creator to hit the 1-million-follower mark on the platform. The streamer’s content is often controversial but that hasn’t stopped fans from tuning in.
Adin’s following has grown since he hit 1 million followers and he was sitting on the throne with 1.5 million followers under his belt. The streamer managed to hold on to that title for a few months but someone has now overtaken him. So who is WestCol and what does he do?
WestCol broke 2 records in 1 stream
WestCol is a massively popular Kick streamer who surpassed Adin Ross’ follower count on the platform.
WestCol is a Colombian streamer who mainly streams Minecraft and “just chatting” content. The streamer has over 1.5 million followers on Twitch but largely stepped away from the platform in 2023. Now, WestCol has managed to break two records previously held by Adin Ross on Kick.
Adin Ross and WestCol are the only two streamers on Kick to have more than 1 million followers. However, WestCol’s stream that crowned him the most followed Kick streamer also broke another record.
WestCol’s Stream Fighters 3 boxing event garnered 1 million concurrent viewers, making him the first content creator on the platform to reach this mark. Kick’s CEO Edward Craven noticed the achievement, congratulated WestCol, and thanked the streamer for being with Kick since the beginning.
The most concurrent viewers record was also held by Adin Ross. He got over 500,000 concurrent viewers on his stream with United States presidential candidate Donald Trump.
This continues a longstanding norm on livestreaming platforms. Though names like Felix “xQc” Lengyel, Ironmouse, and Kai Cenat are the top-earning or most-subscribed Twitch streamers, Spanish-language content creators have been the most-watched. Ibai “Ibai” Llanos Garatea Llanos owns the record for the most-watched Twitch stream ever.
