The Zenless Zone Zero 2.3 banners have been officially revealed and ZZZ players now need to figure out which new agents are worth pulling for and which aren’t.
Yixuan has been the game’s lone rupture agent, but that’s set to change in version 2.3. A new A-rank rupture agent is coming with Manato’s long-awaited release, and he’ll be joined by Yidhari later on in the patch. Instead, Manato’s debut will come alongside S-rank support Lucia.
And of course, two S-rank agents are set to return for a limited time on re-run banners. But which champions are appearing and who’s worth pulling for?
ZZZ 2.3 banners, including S-rank agents and featured A-ranks
Lucia and Yidhari will be the new S-rank agents appearing in Zenless Zone Zero version 2.3. Here’s the full breakdown of all the featured agents during these banners.
Zenless Zone Zero 2.3 phase one banners:
- New S-rank agent: Lucia (ether/support)
- Rerun S-rank agent: Vivian (ether/anomaly)
- Featured A-rank agents: Manato (fire/rupture), Piper (physical/anomaly)
There’s a lot of synergy between all the agents that are featured in ZZZ version 2.3’s first phase. Lucia is a new support agent who is tailor-made to work alongside rupture agents. Not coincidentally, the second rupture agent is arriving alongside her. On the flipside, Vivian is the best off-field anomaly agent, while Piper is a reasonably powerful on-field anomaly DPS.
Zenless Zone Zero 2.3 phase two banners:
- New S-rank agent: Yidhari (ice/rupture)
- Rerun S-rank agent: Ju Fufu (fire/stun)
- Featured A-rank agents: Pan Yinhu (physical/defender), Pulchra (physical stunner)
Similar to the first phase, the second phase has a great deal of synergy between its featured agents. The key difference is that everyone is a supporting piece for the new S-rank agent.
Yidhari is set to be a powerful new DPS option, and Pulchra and Pan Yinhu are potentially her best free-to-play teammates. Meanwhile, Ju Fufu is the ideal S-rank upgrade to Pulchra.
Which agents are worth pulling for in Zenless Zone Zero version 2.3?
Vivian is comfortably the best agent to pull for in ZZZ version 2.3, though each of the S-rank agents has value for some accounts. The value of each agent will vary based upon which other S-rank agents players have available. Vivian is the best S-rank option for most players, but each agent can be high-impact under the right circumstances.

Should you pull for Lucia?
Lucia is likely worth pulling for on most accounts. S-rank supports have proven extremely powerful in Zenless Zone Zero, and expectations for Lucia are high. The only catch is that she is meant to support rupture agents, who are still scarce. She’ll likely bring Yixuan to the next level and will be a best-in-slot support for Yidhari, but her value is still largely prospective. That said, that value is still high.

Should you pull for Vivian?
Vivian is likely the best off-field damage dealer in all of Zenless Zone Zero and is a very good agent to pull for in version 2.3. Miyabi-Vivian-Yuzuha is likely the strongest team in Zenless Zone Zero right now, and Vivian with a proper build can also work as an extremely strong sub-DPS behind Yanagi, Jane, Alice, and Piper. Even for players who don’t prioritize disorder compositions, Vivian’s is the best banner to pull on in version 2.3. She’s simply one of the best agents in ZZZ right now, and all players will be able to find good use for her.

Should you pull for Yidhari?
Yidhari has some value for players lacking an ice DPS outside Miyabi. Many players shrugged off Yidhari as Miyabi is the top DPS in the game and there are two solid ice attackers in Ellen and Hugo. The Defiler makes Yidhari much more valuable, though. Because HoYoverse is specifically tailoring bosses to counter Miyabi and disorder compositions, it’s important to have an alternative ice DPS going forward. Yidhari is a good choice for filling that gap.

Should you pull for Ju Fufu?
Ju Fufu is likely the lowest priority banner to pull on in ZZZ version 2.3. Ju Fufu is a very good agent in her own right, but she’s also the third S-rank fire stunner in the game and the third limited S-rank stunner. Zenless Zone Zero players who don’t have Lighter or a fully built Trigger can get a lot of use out of Ju Fufu, and she goes well alongside Yixuan. Only players who don’t have Lighter or Trigger, and players who feel like they’re not getting much out of Yixuan, should feel compelled to pull for Ju Fufu.
