EA announced that Dragon Age: The Veilguard is coming in 2025 but a new trailer for the game might have leaked the exact release date.
The highly anticipated RPG continues the story of where the Inquisition left off. However, apart from returning faces, both good and bad, there are plenty of changes in the new title. From polished graphics to a much bigger focus on player control and action, Dragon Age: The Veilguard aims to deliver a different experience.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard ditches the tactical camera in favor of a dynamic action setup. Players won’t pause the action to plan moves, so the combat plays more like God of War rather than Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s been years since Bioware started teasing the game, it seems fans will only have to wait a couple of months before Dragon Age: The Veilguard comes.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard release date
According to a trailer, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on October 31, 2024.
A leaked trailer shows some in-game footage of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The footage is something fans have already seen in the preview video previously. Varic is seen aiding the player in a mission to take down Solas. The new game will have plenty of companions to choose from, but four-character parties are no longer available.
At the end, the trailer shows the exact Dragon Age: The Veilguard release date with a pre-order button. The length of the trailer is in line with most TV ads, so Bioware is likely planning on starting the marketing campaign. Despite the safe-for-work TV ad, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will have nudity and NPC romance.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard pre-order bonus
There are no pre-order bonuses announced for Dragon Age: The Veilguard yet.
Dragon Age games all had some trinket or customization item included in the pre-order bonus. The first game gave the Memory Band, an in-game item that gave %1 extra experience. Dragon Age 2 gave the Fadeshear Sword and Lion of Orlais Shield to the players. The last game, Inquisition provided the Flames of the Inquisition pack as a pre-order bonus.
The new game from Bioware will still retain the “Story” difficulty setting, letting players breeze through the combat. The game director Corinne Busche explains that there will be five different difficulty settings in the game, letting players customize their experience. Fans will find out more about the game as the release date draws near.
