The statue puzzle in the lighthouse’s courtyard is one of the earliest puzzles in Dragon Age: The Veilguard and fans will want to know what to expect from it.
RPGs are incomplete without at least one puzzle, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard is no different. Having a massive world for the player to explore, the game throws various puzzles at the player. While solving most puzzles is fairly simple, some may have players scratching their heads.
One of the more confusing puzzles is the optional statue puzzle found at the Lighthouse. The lighthouse statue puzzle found when the player reaches the area’s courtyard is one of the earliest optional puzzles in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. However, the complete reward for completing the puzzle is locked until later in the game.
How to solve the statue puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
The key to solving the statue puzzle in the lighthouse’s courtyard is to make the three pairs of statues face each other.
Immediately after leaving the main Lighthouse area and entering the courtyard, turn right and climb the stairs to find the first statue. Interacting with the statue will give a mysterious note saying the three pairs of statues must come face-to-face. Make the statue face the stairs and continue on the path upstairs.
The area above the door leading inside the Lighthouse has two statues. Make them face each other and Rook will comment on how there are two more to go. Now, go north and jump down the stairs to see another statue. Make the statue face east where that statue’s pair will be visible. Go to the area behind Neve’s study and make the statue face the other one to complete this pair.
Finally, go to the last statue next to the Dining Hall and make it face west toward the first statue. If done correctly, Rook will comment that the puzzle is solved.
What happens if you complete the statue puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard?
Completing the statue puzzle at the lighthouse opens the door from the courtyard to the secret music room, which then leads to a secret portal.
After solving the puzzle, go inside the building and to the main dining area. Here, go close to the circular door to unlock it and go inside the music room. While some goodies are here, they aren’t much to write about.
The music room has another door that’s initially locked. However, players can open it after reaching the chapter 8 story mission “Shades of the Blight.” The wisp required to unlock the door is found outside the building near the two statues that were close to each other. Lead the wisp into the room to unlock the second door.
A portal behind the second door leads to the library balcony. Here, interact with the blue globe to restore the Astrolabe and get permanent discounts on workshop upgrades. Doing this also unlocks the Nostalgia Trip achievement/trophy for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
