Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis, The Answer release date revealed

The Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass will include the long-awaited The Answer chapter, redubbed Episode Aigis, with the release date being confirmed in the March 2024 Xbox Partner Showcase.

After accidentally spoiling its own DLC reveal, Atlus confirmed it will not be releasing another version of Persona 3 Reload, despite being somewhat incomplete. Alongside some of the extra content that was introduced in Persona 3 Portable such as the female main character and the ability to influence some major story events, Reload lacked “The Answer” story content introduced in P3 FES on the PlayStation 2.

Atlus is set to fix that and has decided to take a page from other modern RPGs like Xenoblade Chronicles and will roll out its DLC across a yearlong “expansion pass” for the game. The Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass is currently available for purchase on most platforms and costs $34.99. It will also be available for free to Xbox Game Pass subscribers until the end of January next year. Here’s everything players will receive with the expansion pass.

What does Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass schedule, content, and release date for The Answer DLC

The Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass will include background music packs, costumes, and the Episode Aigis DLC chapter. Each piece of content will be released separately, with each one released between March 2024 and September 2024.

Wave 1- Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden BGM sets (March 12, 2024)

The first wave comes on March 12 and includes the Persona 5 Royal Extra Background Music Set and the Persona 4 Golden Extra Background Music Set. Together, they will add 16 iconic songs to Persona 3 Reload including iconic tracks like Life Will Change, Beneath The Mask, and the Junes Theme.

Wave 2- Velvet Room-themed costume, BGM sets (May 2024)

The second wave will be released in May and will include Velvet Room-inspired costumes and five background music songs, including the Persona 4 Dancing All Night version of Electronica In Velvet Room and various remixes of Battle Hymn of the Soul. No exact release date was given for the second or third waves of the Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass, but players have a good idea of when they will arrive.

Wave 3- Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis -The Answer- (September 2024)

The final wave arrives in September, it will bring the long-awaited Persona 3 FES post-game content that fully concludes the story of the base game. Persona 3 FES introduced a new post-game chapter, similar to the ones that were added in Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal. This content was widely praised but hasn’t been available in any other versions of Persona 3.

The Answer is a post-game chapter, so it may not be accessible until after the player beats the base game. As such, players will need to complete optional objectives like beating the Reaper and complete the main story before starting it.

Is The Answer still coming to Persona 3 Reload?

The Answer chapter will be added to Persona 3 Reload in September 2024 as Wave 3 of the Expansion Pass.

Episode Aigis is the same thing as The Answer from Persona 3 FES, but Atlus is using the Japanese name. The Answer was called “Episode Aigis” in the Japanese release. Episode Aigis is named as such because Aigis becomes the main character, with the story also delving into her backstory. There were no significant content changes between the Japanese and Western versions, so Persona 3 Reload players will likely get the same The Answer chapter they played in FES.

Unfortunately for fans, there was no indication that DLC introducing the female main character from Persona 3 Portable would be added to the game. The strong commercial success of Persona 3 Reload could make Atlus rethink things but for now, the company reportedly has its hands full with developing new games including Persona 6, re-releasing its back catalog, and building the brand across gaming through collaborations.
