Rocksteady Studios has revealed the minimum and recommended system requirements for the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and they might be too demanding, even for PC gamers.

The beloved developer has been working on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League for a long while now. It’s Rocksteady’s first game since 2015’s Arkham Knight and is also set in the same universe as the Arkham series, despite moving from an open-world beat ’em up to a co-op shooter with heavy-handed live-service elements.

As the release date of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League draws near, the developers have revealed its system requirements. The numbers show that PC players with weaker computers might have to upgrade their systems to play the game smoothly.

What are the system requirements for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?

The consensus is that the minimum and system requirements for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are extremely demanding. Here’s the full breakdown:

Sys. Req.MinimumRecommendedUltra
Resolution1080p/Min1440p/MedResolution: 4K/High
ProcessorIntel i5 – 8400k, AMD Ryzen 5 1600CPU: Intel i7 – 10700k, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3DCPU: Intel i7 – 12700k, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Since framerate is not locked in the game’s PC version, players with more powerful setups should be able to play the game at a higher framerate. The listed minimum specs will only bring the game up to 30 FPS while the recommended and ultra will both ideally level out at 60 FPS. Players will need upgrades to both their processor and GPU to get 60 FPS even on low settings.

The official Suicide Squad FAQ page states that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will target 60 FPS but Rocksteady hasn’t revealed the game’s resolutions. It’s possible the consoles will be able to hit that mark at 1080p, but will fall short at 4K. Arkham Knight was notorious for having a PC port riddled with FPS drops and graphical issues at launch and Rocksteady will be looking to avoid those same troubles. Whether the company will be able to pull that off remains to be seen.

Is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League open-world?

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League takes place in an open-world adaptation of Metropolis, which is being invaded by Brainiac.

Every playable character in the game utilizes different traversal methods to get around the once-bustling city. From Harley Quinn’s rope swinging to Deadshot’s jetpack, the game places a heavy emphasis on verticality. The reported upcoming DLC characters will likely have their own unique spins on this formula.

Despite being a game with a relatively dark tone, features a brightly colored world that stands far apart from the rainy, permanently dark Gotham in the Arkham series. Players who can clear Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s lofty system requirements will likely have a lot to discover.
