Helldivers 2’s Viper Commandos Warbond has been deployed deployed with plenty of balance changes to stratagems, weapons, and enemies.
Arrowhead Games is fixing the game and bringing many lacking Stratagems up to the mark in the latest patch. Since launch, the wildly successful third-person shooter Helldivers 2 has received plenty of patches. The frequency of patches and updates was rapid, causing many elements to be thrown off balance.
Thankfully, Arrowhead Games announced they’ll focus on quality rather than quantity of the patches. The latest patch is taking the game in the right direction. The developers focused this patch on making nerfed and underpowered stratagems more viable, and it might’ve done just that.
Best Stratagems to use in the Viper Commandos Warbond
The best stratagems after the update are still the Auto Cannon, Arc Thrower, Quasar Cannon, Expendable Anti-Tank, and Eagle Airstrike.
Fans of the Auto Cannon meta would be relieved that the latest patch didn’t touch most of the already powerful stratagems. Arrowhead Games didn’t apply any nerfs to the S-Tier stratagems in this round. However, the developers did buff plenty of underpowered and underused stratagems. The Helldivers 2 community has already taken the patch well. Around 90,000 players checked out the new changes after the patch.
The most significant buff is to the Sentries. Previously, the sentries were nearly useless to bring to high-level missions. The flimsy durability of the sentries meant they’d last a couple of seconds after deployment, wasting a precious stratagem slot. A/MG-43 Machine gun, A/G-16 Gatling, A/MLS-4X Rocket, A/AC-8 Autocannon, A/M-12 Mortar, and A/M-23 EMS Mortar all received a significant 80% durability boost, up from 0%.
Helldivers 2 buffs stealth in Viper Commandos Warbond patch
Helldivers 2 improved stealth mechanics, allowing players to move quietly and avoid unneeded fights in the Viper Commandos Warbond patch.
Missions in Helldivers 2 can get messy if players get into extra firefights. The new patch will make it easier for the players to avoid additional enemies and focus on the mission. Previously, wading through large vegetation used to slow players down, so many players simply avoided it. However, the new patch introduced an extra function: players will be harder to detect when inside large vegetation.
The vegetation stealth bonus also stacks with other stealth effects, leading to even less enemy detection. Players taking advantage of detection-reducing effects like nighttime, being crouched or prone, or using the scout armor will see more benefits. There is still no update on the game being available in countries that lost access due to the PlayStation PSN kerfuffle.
