As players jump from one Sol-3 phase to the next, Tacet discords get beefier and stronger and that means that Wuthering Waves players need to get comfortable with farming Echoes.
Besides upgrading character levels and fortes, and outfitting resonators with weapons, collecting Echoes is vital to avoid missing out on serious power-ups for the team. After defeating Tacet Discords, it drops remnants called Echo where additional stats and Echo-specific skills come from. While a mix of well-timed dodging and parrying can take players far, resonators without Echo sets will struggle, especially in time-limited challenges like Tactical Hologram and Tower Adversity.
It is a good thing though that Echoes are not locked behind Waveplates. Here’s how to get Echoes in Wuthering Waves.
How to farm Echoes in Wuthering Waves
The three main methods for farming echoes are exploring the Overworld, Tacet Fields, and completing daily quests.
Roaming across the map and taking down Tacet Discords is the most straightforward way to get Echoes. This method is also the most reliable for farming Echoes since Waveplates don’t need to be spent to get them.

Essentially, players can farm as many Echoes as they want this way without worrying about their precious and potentially time-gated resources. Players can absorb Echoes dropped by monsters, with a 20% base drop rate. The rarity of Echoes obtained also relies on the level of the Data Bank, so it’s paramount to level it up as progress is made. At level 21, all Echoes obtained are guaranteed to be 5-star.
The second method is farming Tacet Fields. Inside Sol-3, there are currently seven Tacet Fields. While Tacet Discords in this challenge don’t drop Echoes, redeeming rewards from it does. To obtain these drops, players must interact with it and spend 60 Waveplates. The Waveplate cost makes this less feasible as a method for regularly farming Echoes, but running Tacet Fields also yields valuable materials for ascending a Wuthering Waves party member.
Likewise, Echoes can be earned by completing Tactical Holograms. Unlike Tacet Fields, there’s no requirement to spend Waveplates here. However, the catch is that players must try their best to take down Overlord bosses and complete each difficulty to claim free Echoes and other rewards like Sealed Tube and Shell Credits.

Completing Daily Quests is the last choice for players to secure Echoes. It might not be the most reliable route, but it still gets the job done. Finish up all the daily tasks, claim the last reward, and players are guaranteed to receive an Echo.
What are Echoes in Wuthering Waves
Echoes in Wuthering Waves serve as the equipment for resonators, boosting their strength by providing bonus stats and active skills that complement their kit.
Echoes are categorized by costs; which can be one, three, or four. Players can equip up to 5 Echoes simultaneously, with a maximum combined cost of 12.
Building a set ultimately boils down to player preference, though setups like 4-4-1-1-1 and 4-3-3-1-1 are the most commonly used. Moreover, Echoes include Sonata effects and set bonuses, offering extra perks when combining the right Echoes together.
