Batman may come back to Suicide Squad, here’s who voices him

Batman may return in future DLC for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, alongside the debut of several playable characters, including Deathstroke and Poison Ivy.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has been a mixed bag for both fans and its creators. The game garnered widespread negative backlash from hardcore fans of DC Comics, many of whom felt the story’s portrayal of beloved characters was disrespectful, particularly the Justice League. Others pointed at the predatory microtransactions as another negative, which was reaffirmed with the unpopular Joker DLC.

Even so, it appears Rocksteady and WB Games are full steam ahead with more DLC for the game. This could see Batman return, as well as the introduction of two iconic Batman villains.

Kevin Conroy’s Batman reportedly set to come back in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Batman is reportedly set to return to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League after a controversial execution scene in the game’s story.

Miller Ross, a notable leaker for superhero games who broke the news on the Joker DLC before its official announcement, made these claims in a Twitter thread. He claims Batman will return to Metropolis in the game’s 4th season DLC after being rescued from a medieval-themed Elseworld.

Kevin Conroy reportedly recorded voice lines for Batman before his passing. The iconic voice actor who played Batman in the 1990s animated series and many WB Games-published titles based on the character died in November 2022. His work in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was believed by many fans to be his final work as Batman, which made story leaks regarding the character extremely controversial.

Conroy’s final voice acting role was actually playing Batman in the film Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Three which came out on January 9, 2024. If a Conroy-voiced Batman returns in the game, it will likely be the last fans hear from him.

When will Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League release its final season?

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will reportedly launch its fifth and likely final season in 2025.

Ross claims that the fourth season of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League commences in January 2025, so the fifth season will likely happen later in the year. Upcoming playable characters include Killer Croc, Katana, Poison Ivy, Black Manta, Scream Queen, Deathstroke, and Gorilla Grodd. Refreshed boss battles and a return to Batman’s own Gotham City are also said to be in store for future seasons of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Notably, the game saw its price tag slashed just weeks after launch, a situation that often indicates poor launch sales. The negative response to its first season of DLC suggests that things may not turn around. Ultimately, the fate of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League lies in the quality of its upcoming DLC releases or Rocksteady’s ability to improve existing gameplay.
