The next Call of Duty game will be released this fall, but before that, Black Ops 6 will have an open beta that lets players take the game out for a spin; here’s how to sign up.

Call of Duty games usually have a closed and an open beta before release, and Black Ops 6 does not stray from tradition. The game is Treyarch’s biggest yet, with revamped gameplay elements, expanded zombies, and a campaign about choices

Unlike previous entries in the series, the new Call of Duty game is also coming out on Xbox Game Pass. The move will reduce pressure on gamers looking to try out the game. For Call of Duty fans on other platforms, the open beta will be a perfect chance to see what Treyarch has cooked up.

How to play Black Ops 6 open beta?

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 open beta will be held from September 6 to 9, and everyone will have open access on their preferred platforms.

Interested players need to download the game from either the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store, or Steam to gain access to the beta. With almost four days of beta, fans can check out the new movement system in Black Ops 6. Players who preorder the game will gain early access from August 30 to September 4. Surprisingly, players with an active Game Pass subscription can also take part in the early beta access.

Preloading will become available on Wednesday, August 28. Despite efforts to reduce game size, the open beta will take up a lot of space. On the PlayStation 5, it will require 80 GB of storage space, and on the Xbox Series X, it will take 75 GB.

What’s in the open beta?

Fans can expect multiple weapons, maps, and game modes in the Black Ops 6 open beta.

Developers have added new weapons and maps or rotated game modes in previous Call of Duty Beta sessions. There are no details on what maps fans can expect from the open beta. There’s a chance NukeTown will still be there.

The open beta will be highly accessible, despite the major shakeups to the series from business perspective. Despite Activision’s acquisition by Microsoft, the Black Ops 6 open beta will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Last-generation consoles will also be able to test the beta.

Treyarch hasn’t announced any plans to include Call of Duty Zombies in the open beta yet.
