Twitch streamer and Elden Ring boss slayer Kai Cenat has passed Felix “xQc” Lengyel, hitting the second-highest number of followers in North America.
xQc has been a massive name in streaming for years, known for his FPS skills and questionable rants. He’s been, at the very least, one of the top streamers on Twitch for quite some time but the relative newcomer newcomer Kai Cenat has now overtaken him in followers.
Kai Cenat is now the second-most followed streamer in North America and fifth in the world. So who could possibly be bigger than these two?
How many followers does Kai Cenat have on Twitch?
Kai Cenat has reached over 12.1 million followers, beating TheGrefg, shroud, Sodapoppin, Clix, and more. When Cenat hit this milestone, xQc was listed at 12.0 million followers.
Kai Cenat first gained a massive amount of followers during a 30-day livestream in 2023 where he hung out with other content creators and did a variety of questionable things. He then held a 166-hour livestream for his Elden Ring playthrough despite never playing an RPG before.
From June 10 to July 10 he gained almost 1.2 million followers, a stretch that included numerous mini-events from him. He had a sleepover with Kevin Hart earlier in June that reached over 712,000 viewers and later met Lebron James through Hart. Then he had a July 4th collaboration with Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson, resulting in a fireworks prank that destroyed a set of his bedroom. During all this, he returned to Elden Ring to play the newly launched Shadow of Erdtree DLC.
All of these groundbreaking pop culture moments and more have made Kai Cenat one of the biggest streamers in the world, but he’s still far away from having the highest followers count on Twitch.
Who has the most followers on Twitch?
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is the most-followed streamer on Twitch. He currently has over 19 million followers.
Ninja has continued to be a big name in streaming. He has had a few cringe-inducing moments throughout his career, infamously flossing in Times Square, tweeting about his bra-less wife, and showing off bad haircuts, but he has been a steady icon in the streaming and gaming worlds. He’s also been comparatively controversy-free, something that neither xQc nor Kai Cenat can claim.
With the rate that Kai Cenat is growing, however, it wouldn’t be surprising if he eventually surpassed Ninja.
